Hybridization program

A four projects hybridization matrix is currently under execution for obtaining and testing 150 progenies.
Objective: to produce and assess cannabis accessions to select promising genetic material which maybe use in the production of feminized seeds.
R&D Projects
Germplasm Bank: to maintain a representative gene pool of the species to produce plant propagation material for research projects and production of commercial mother plants.
Morpho-agronomic characterization of the cultivar in the gene bank, tested on several sowing throughout the year: to determine the adaptability of 36 cannabis cultivars to the conditions of the Llanos Orientales, identifying promising genotypes for genetic enhancement programs.
Establishing the base collection through conservation of the active collection of diverse specimens: to conserve genetic variation of cannabis in our collection.
